Update on Avalon Bay Development and Our Brooks

Many of Twinbrook’s streams run underground at times.  Whether they are above ground or not, developers and builders have strict guidelines to ensure that our streams are protected.  TCA members meet with City Staff to follow the process and alert them to anything that looks questionable.

The Avalon Bay Development at Halpine and Ardennes has such an underground stream running through it’s property.  This stream “daylights” near Halpine Road and Alsace Lane.  If you follow the Avalon Bay construction and wonder “why are they doing this crazy stuff?” it may be to protect our stream.
