For community members in recovery, there is a list of online AA meetings available to you.
While the Rockville Senior Center is closed until further notice, senior services staff are here for you. Seniors who need assistance can call 240-314-8800, from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Due to recommendations for social distancing, senior services will be unable to transport seniors on trips to grocery stores or pharmacies. Instead, the senior center’s Call and Ride program is available during this crisis to provide taxi coupons to seniors in need of transportation. Seniors, living in the city limits of Rockville, in need of transportation, can call 240-314-8810 for assistance.

All bars, restaurants, movie theaters and gyms are shutting down by 5 pm today. Drive through and carry out services for food will continue to be available.
All casinos and race tracks in Maryland have been closed.
Gatherings of more than 50 people for any reason are prohibited.
Utility companies are prohibited from shutting off services to residential customers or charging late fees. These include electric, gas, sewer, water, cable, internet, and phone services.
A prohibition on evictions has also been ordered during the state of the emergency.
Essential services, including gas stations, grocery stores, pharmacies, and banks, will remain open.

COVID-19 Resource for Marylanders from the Maryland Department of Health
Rockville City Hall and city facilities will be closed to the public from Saturday, March 14, through Friday, March 27, following recently issued state directives for slowing the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19.
Emergency Meals for MCPS Children in Need: Children up to 18 years old may come to these Rockville locations for a healthy meal during this closure. No appointment is necessary. Meals will be provided in a Grab-and-Go format. Meals will be available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Metro Service Reductions: Changes to rail and bus service announced Friday, March 13 begin today. Metro asks anyone who is ill to not use public transportation.
Ride-On buses are temporarily suspending fare collection for riders of their bus services. County Councilmember Tom Hucker shared the news on Twitter, explaining that passengers will board via the rear door in order to limit interactions between passengers and bus operators. The front doors will only be used for the disabled who need a lift to get inside the bus.
As part of the state’s overall response to the coronavirus, and in an effort to prioritize health and safety, Maryland Health Connection opened a new special enrollment period for uninsured Marylanders.
